Kythnos was known as Thermia or Fermenia during the Venetian era of it's history, so named because of the thermal springs.
Piacenza erroneously prints "Rhena" within the map on the island; also the shape of the island is far from the reality ,but he does correctly show the town and the springs. Fair impression; show through of text from verso; light toning and spotting.
