3rd edition in Greek of Plutarch's Parallel LivesThis is a reprinting of the 1533 Bebel edition, considered more accurate then the Editio Princeps of of Junta published in 1517.
Prelims in Latin by Simon Gryneaus. Rebound likely in the 18th or 19th century. Edges gilt. Binding rubbed, front hinge cracked, front joint starting.
Loss to lower corner of front free endpaper; tear to end free endpaper
Ink Blot to title, covering part of the printers device , also on final printers device [verso p787].
Historiated capitals at beginning of each chapter.
Marginal annotations mainly in Latin, some in Greek; some slightly shaved when rebound.
Occassional ink underling of text beside which are the annotations.
